Rotary begins physiotherapy project in Delta hospital.

The Rotary club of warri has flagged off the construction of a
physiotherapy department project at the Central Hospital warri, Delta
state.
Speaking before the flag off, the president of the rotary club of Warri,
Rotarian Daniel Agbofode explained that the decision to embark on the
physiotherapy department project became necessary following the upsurge
in accident resulting to bone fractures and the need to tackle
increasing cases of diabetes and stroke withing the eight local
government area served by the hospital.
He assured that the project will be ready soonest and noted that efforts
are been made to incorporate other organization toward realization of
the project
The District Governor of Rotary club, District 9140, convering 11 states
across Nigeria, Rotarian Akabom Enebong in his speech, stated that the
initial doubt by the central hospital management about the realization
of the project made it flag off more exciting and promised to mobilize
resources as well as professional among Rotarians to ensure the project
is completed.
Responding, the medical Director of the Central Hospital, warri, Dr.
Chukwuebunu Ngozi expressed shock at the commencement of the project
admitting she actually doubted the reality when a delegation of Rotary
club Warri first approached her in office, demanding for a critical need
of the Delta State Government owned Hospital.
Dr. Ngozi called on other Non- Governmental organization and complete
bodies to assist the state Government in the task of meeting secondary
health care need of people in the state.
